Homelessness crisis looms

The number of people in Exeter forced to sleep on the streets or in vulnerable circumstances is set to soar, should major funding cuts proposed by Devon County Council go ahead.

The proposals would result in a complete axing of almost £1.5m of funding to projects supporting people at risk of homelessness.Exeter Homelessness Forum, a partnership between key organisations working together to address homelessness organisations in the city, has issued a joint response highlighting concerns about the potential impact of the proposals, below.We’re asking anyone concerned about homelessness issues to respond to DCC’s Public Consultationon the proposals by 19th April: https://bit.ly/3JJblBH
