St Petrock’s has opened it’s first emergency housing project in Exeter in order to provide fast access to emergency accommodation for individuals who are homeless with low to medium support needs. This project aims to provide a period of stability and trial tenancy for clients while the St Petrock’s Private Rent & Support team looks to secure long-term accommodation for individuals.
A property was purchased earlier in the year, following a generous grant award from The Garfield Weston Foundation, to provide a consistent and reliable source of accommodation for St Petrock’s clients. Opened in August, the house now has four tenants and all have positive move-on plans in place. The aim is to support 35 individuals in the first year, rising to 45 in year 3.
